ingredients:
- 21/4 cups sifted flour
- 1 cups butter softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- powdered sugar for rolling baked cookies
directions:
- Cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy; stir in vanilla
- Whisk together flour and salt.
- Gradually add butter mixter and stir in chopped nuts.
- Chill dough if it seems too soft.
- Form dough into 11/4” balls and place onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies start to turn light golden-brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- While cookies are warm, but not hot, roll a few times in powdered sugar until evenly coated and allow to cool completely.
- Do a second roll in powdered sugar once cooled to room temperature.
